Controller The ideal candidate will be proficient in and responsible for all aspects of financial management, including general leger management, financial closing & reporting, budgeting, payroll, cash management functions and controls, revenue/profitability analysis, and staff supervision.
This position will interact with outside auditors and meet all financial reporting and compliance requirements.
This position reports to the CFO of the company.
Duties Manage and report on all financial areas of the company.
Oversee and mentor staff in the accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll departments.
Prepare monthly journal entries and all periodic financial statements.
Apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information against budgets.
Develop and prepare financial forecasts and the annual budget.
Prepare financial analyses and ad hoc reporting to support information needs of management.
Coordinate and lead the annual audit, including preparation and review of supporting schedules and review of the draft audit products.
Coordinate and obtain insurance coverage for all needs.
Assist Management team with process development and internal controls documentation Perform special projects and other responsibilities, as assigned.
Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
CPA is a plus Minimum of seven (7) years of accounting and finance experience in a dynamic organization, preferably with at least three of those years in healthcare.
Experience with Medical Billing/Payer Reimbursement accounting.
Minimum of five (5) years of managerial experience is required.
Payroll and payroll systems experience Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
Current knowledge of GAAP Job Type:
